At Feeders, On Fences

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to stop by your blogs often to comment in the past week.
I had a nasty fall last Tuesday, down 8 icy cement steps, landing on by back. I am lucky, nothing was broken, but I have torn ligaments, and deep bruising  in the lumbar region of my spine, which equals pain and immobility. My doc says I should heal in about 3-4 weeks.

It was a busy weekend in the yard! All these shots were taken from my bedroom window. My world has once again been viewed from a very small perimeter, but it's wonderful all the same.

  10. Ack on the back - those steps of concrete are hard and unforgiving, especially the edges. The cure is probably time to heal...at least when you are on your feet without too much hurt, it will be Spring: warmer and no ice...

Love the birds, especially the seed eating sparrow and cardinals= we don't see her that often around here. Wonderful captures!

  20. There is something to be said for staying still and letting the world come to you - but I can think of better ways of achieving it than falling down stairs!

  25. Wow....some really great birdin'!! And just outside your window...how awesome is that? Wish I could have feeders close, like that. But I fear the indoor cats would just tear the house up trying to get to them. I LOVED this post Karen.
