Leftovers -Around The Yard

Some leftover shots from around the yard.

My favourite "wildflower".
Most people think of dandelions as weeds,
but I think of them as flower food for bees.

A pretty in pink bachelor button.

Nirbert, one of my garden gnomes got a new paint job!

You are never too old to blow bubbles...then take a picture of one!

Duck Shoot

A Mallard duck photo shoot at the lake.
I love ducks, they always look so happy

Male and female juvenile ducks look a lot like adult females.

Beak colour is the most reliable way to sex juvenile mallards. Males have greenish-yellow bills, while females sport orange bills with black splotches.

Greenery

We went for a walk on a local city trail on the weekend.
A little oasis in the middle of the city.

We didn't see much any wildlife.
No Ground birds, no birds at all really,
and thankfully, no coyotes.

The trail meanders through a forest, down to Medway Creek.
Lush and green at this time of year.

Our dog Merfy enjoyed the trek.

And finally, a critter of sorts,
it landed on hubbers wrist.

Bright Spots

There were 326 new covid-19 cases reported in my province (Ontario) yesterday. So, I am still self isolating. I do get out into nature a bit, but that's it, and I have no in person contact with anyone other than hubbers. I am going a little shack-wacky...

But there are still many bright spots in my world.
