1. A good storm invigorates me. Must be all those negative ions in the air.
2. Negative ions increase the flow of oxygen to the brain resulting in higher alertness, decreased drowsiness, and more mental energy. They also help recovery from physical exhaustion and fatigue – achieved by increasing oxygen levels in the blood.
3. I like to listen to the rain pounding on a metal roof.
4. I like the smell of the air after a storm.
5. I am one of those people who actually likes to dance in the rain.

Ah, we have a lot in common, Karen, I feel exactly the same way you do!! Guess it's one of the reasons I moved to the northwest years ago -- I was born and raised in Texas where rain and storms were actually few and far between!! Awesome skies for the day -- any day actually!! Hope you have a lovely, stormy, rainy weekend!! Enjoy!!

I used to like the rain but now it just puts me on edge as to what leak my very old building may spring! ;-))
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, down here I always think the air is cleaner and the sky more blue after heavy rain, and those dark clouds offer great photo scenes, such a contrast to a sunny day. Cheers, Jean.

Our daughter loves the rain too and feels better in that kind of weather. I am the opposite. But if my stormy days were as beautiful as the one you show here I might just change my mind!!

ReplyDeleteNice cloud photo. I live in a rainy climate, but I don't mind the rain. In the winter, it means there will be snow in the mountains. I'm a skier, so that's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo Karen… I like to dance in the rain too, but only if it is summer time and warm. Still I enjoy an exciting storm… especially the snowy variety… I don't mind dancing in the SNOW … somehow that doesn't feel cold in the same way as rain this time of year.

ReplyDeleteI like non-sever thunder storms too. The smell after a rain is awesome and the cool summer air is usually a relief.
I was so scared of storms as a kid. When the beep .... beep .... beep warnings came across the tv I went and hit behind the couch or under a bed.
