1. I am not a morning person, I have never seen the sun rise.
2. On several occasions, I have set the alarm to ring a half an hour before sunrise, so I can get photos.
3. I always turn the alarm off sometime during the night.
4. This year at our summer cottage, just before sunrise, I got up early (a trip to the loo).
5. I snapped one photo, and went back to bed.

Well, it's a beautiful shot! I'm not a morning person either. That's why I shoot a lot of sunsets. :)

ReplyDeleteI love this time of day, before everything gets going, the peace and quiet. I frequently see sunrises, by this year it can already be dark when I leave for work.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, I was not lying on the ground for my recent photo, but I did use a wide-angle lens to exaggerate the perspective and trees' height.

ReplyDeleteI have been a morning person all my life -- due to work situations mostly. Getting up at 4 am makes for a long day and naps are often taken in the afternoon to rejuvenate. :)

ReplyDeleteOut of necessity - i have learned to do morning - BUT, there were many years I saw the sunrise because i was on my way home to bed . . (performing artist - very often super-night people.)

Super , beautiful ~ totally deserving of an early morning eye open ! We have roosters so I AM a morning person , like it or not , haha . Actually I am a morning person so it works for me ... just need my coffee.
ReplyDeleteLol, it's all good. I used to figure skate so had to be up and on the ice by 7am for 14 years. Not being able to sleep in is a curse. Sunrises are overrated. :)

ReplyDeleteGreat shot! When I first met my husband, we took a cross country trip from San Diego where we watched the sunset. The following week we were in Bar Harbor Maine watching the sunrise! Glorious! And now, living in the northeast, I take advantage of the sunrise, for then I know that all is right with the world! Aloha
