The View From Here

I haven't been able to get out and about for a while. My world is a bit smaller these days, and viewed through the windows of my home.

Not a bad view at all I'd say!

Summer Dreaming

It's snowing again today and the sky is devoid of colour.
Although I love winter, I am thinking of sunnier days up at the cottage .

Merfy 1 - Lizard 0, Weekend Reflections

After a rousing game of throw, fetch and "kill" the lizard, Merfy heads up the hallway, quite proud of his victory.

This sweet little 8 pound pooch could be a tad impish by the looks of that reflection on the hardwood floor!

According to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, "The distinctive crest can be raised and pointed when agitated or alert, and lowered and barely visible while resting and relaxed.

Through The Glass

click on the pics to enlarge
I was shooting from inside the house, through two panes of glass.
I often have the window open, just wide enough to stick the lens through,
but the temperatures the last couple of days have been between -15 to -22.
It's too cold to go out today, so here's my world from the kitchen window.

Next to the Cardinals, this little House Finch is the most colourful guest at the feeder.

And one from the bedroom window.
I have been on the hunt for the elusive Dark Eyed Junco.

I only managed to get the Junco's back end, and a headless male Cardinal in flight.
Okay, time to put the camera down now, and go wash the dishes.
