Cottage Sunset Series #4

Click the pic to enlarge

On our recent vacation at the lake, I sat on the elevated deck of the cottage and watched the sun set every evening. The beauty of the sky held me in awe from the beginning of the sunset until dark.

I watched and photographed from the same vantage point each night. It was never boring!

A Touch Of Autumn

The world turns softly Not to spill its lakes and rivers,
The water is held in its arms And the sky is held in the water.
What is water, That pours silver, And can hold the sky?

Window To The World - Weekend Reflections

It has been said, that books are the windows to the world.

The Rivflection - Weekend Reflections/Scenic Sunday

The Ausable River, Ontario, Canada
What makes a river so restful to people is that it doesn't have any doubt,
it is sure to get where it is going, and it doesn't want to go anywhere else.

A Fairy In My Microwave - Weekend Reflections

Click the pic to enlarge
No, it's not a mirror...this is the front of my microwave. The fairy is actually on the side of the fridge. Everything reflected so vividly, it almost looks as though you are peering through a window. The fairy art is by my 6 year old granddaughter, Beep.

Glass Magic

A little (2.54cm, 1inch) hand made glass bead representing a sea shell.
I am going to make it into a necklace one day.

Click the pic to enlarge, it has some very interesting reflections in it, including the light I illuminated it with, and me!

A Surprising Shot - Weekend Reflections

I was experimenting with taking photos of light - in low light. The only light in the room was coming from the gas fireplace and the Christmas tree. I snapped a couple of the fireplace, thinking that they wouldn't be much to see. I was surprised when I transfered the pics to the computer.

The fireplace photo itself isn't great, but what an interesting reflection! The Christmas tree on the fireplace glass, with a reflection of the reflection. The snowflakes in the upper section are actually lights in our front windows, which are coverd with semi-transparent blinds.
