Going To Town

 

Tobermory is a small community located at the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in the municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula.

It's about a ten minute drive from the cottage at Cape Hurd.

A day trip into town is always fun.

 

Lots of wood carvings, boats and even a pirate for Beep to pose with.

A Lovely Surprise

We have not seen as many Monarch butterflies as usual over the summer,

 in our yard in SW Ontario. So I was very happy to see...

 Lot's of Monarchs at the cottage, on the Bruce Peninsula!

Summer Break 2015

 Summer has arrived, and with it came some special backyard visitors.

 

Baltimore Oriole (male), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (female), Black squirrel (Nutter)

 

It's school holidays for Beep (July & August),

and she is spending her weekdays with me (and Merfy).

We have lots of projects planned for home,

 and lots of relaxing time planned at the lake.

 

I'll only be popping into blog land occasionally.

At The Beach

We went to the beach on the weekend. The last visit until next spring. 

It was chilly(54F)and windy, we were the only people there!

 

Beep had a great time running back and forth on the shore.

 

 

We had a picnic dinner, and stayed to watch the sunset.

Had lunch with my daughter this weekend at our local organic café.

Quaint and quiet, displaying and selling local artist's work,

and serving scrumptious food, (ginger pear tart slice, upper right).
