Duck Shoot

A Mallard duck photo shoot at the lake.
I love ducks, they always look so happy

Male and female juvenile ducks look a lot like adult females.

Beak colour is the most reliable way to sex juvenile mallards. Males have greenish-yellow bills, while females sport orange bills with black splotches.

  3. Wow, wow and wow.
I am a big fan of ducks too. And often think of them when I look at people who seem to have everything.
On the water ducks look so serene - and out of sight their little legs are going hell for leather to keep them there.

  5. Ducks are great! I think its clear that if a person does not like ducks, then they have a very different view of the world to me!

  10. Well, a male in breeding plumage is pretty distinctive, isn't he?

  15. I'm impressed Karen. Not many people take photos of Mallards. They much too common for borders to bother with. LOL.

  18. I’m impressed with your knowledge... I’m lucky just to recognize that they are a Mallard (excep for a male in full color). I too enjoy watching Ducks .
