Female Downy Woodpecker
Blue Jay

This could be my last post for a while, until BLOGGER gets the on again, off again "word verification" issue solved. With vision problems due to Multiple Sclerosis, I can't decipher the CAPTCHA codes. I do visit other blogs, but it's almost impossible for me to leave a comment a lot of the time.

Love the blue jay! Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteso beautiful and the downy is fantastic. both of these birds are no easy to get such great photos of, they are quick and easily frightened
ReplyDeleteI really like the Downy Woodpecker. Superb picture of it on the feeder.
ReplyDeleteOh, your blue jay post is so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSorry the CAPTCHA on blogger is preventing you from leaving comments. I do not like it either, and I don't use it on my site. Good luck with your health in general.
Superb captures as always, Karen, and such beautiful, birds!! I'm so sorry for the blog problems that you are having, I've been having some, too, but at least for now things seem to be okay, although for how long I'm not sure??? Take care, hope to see you online again soon!!
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic shots. I do not know why people still insist in having this on. I did not have visual problems however sometimes I have to click the button up to 6 times before I can clearly read it.
ReplyDeleteSweet photos, which reminds me, I have to fill my feeders :) Have a great day Karen.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteFabulous pics, Karen!
ReplyDeleteI find that if I am signed in the CAPTCHA doesn't come up when I visit sites. Not sure why!
pretty things.
ReplyDeletei HATE that blogger is giving us fits again! and i really hate that you run into it! i know it's popped up for some folks at my place, too.
Those are good looking birds!
ReplyDeletelovely birds, super photos as always, and the Captcha words or numbers, I have trouble too, and sometimes have to try 3 times, then give up, if only they were in plain font instead of that scrawly undecipherable??? Take care, and if you visit and see what we are all up to, never mind if you do not leave some words, we understand. Hugs from way down south, Jean.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots! I've been lucky, because I haven't had trouble with blogger.
ReplyDeleteBoth great photos but the colors on the Blue Jay are superb!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for a new feeder, is that one designed for woodpeckers? They are one of my favorite birds but I usually get a lot of Chickadees. I don't know how people get shots at the feeder, if I just approach the window they fly away. The Jay has pretty blues, I get Stellar's Jays here.
ReplyDeleteOh, I forgot to add about the CAPTCHA, on my Mac I can enlarge the screen several times by hitting Command +, it makes it easier to read, I don't know how to do that on a PC but probably possible.
ReplyDelete2 brilliant birds that I hope I will see one day. From Findlay
ReplyDeleteblogger, it's so wildly unpredictable ;(
ReplyDeletethose jays are such hogs, but beautiful hogs at that!!!!
Oh my. Oh my oh my. And deciphering captcha codes is a nightmare isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the beauty, and I hope blogger starts to play nicely.
gorgeous image of the downy woodpecker. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm suddenly having a hard time commenting on some blogs too Karen. My eyes are too old for those codes.
ReplyDeleteI see Stuart thinks it is something on our end (security set up or something). I will have to have my IT guy look at it (my husband ;>).
I'm not having any trouble on yours, For all the ones I am getting that captcha thing, the comment form is set up different from the way yours is. I hope you are not having any trouble with mine?
Your birds as always are wonderful.
The colors and black and white are both spectacular!
ReplyDeleteAbout the captcha...I've been getting all numbers lately, and they're very easy to read. Maybe a few clicks of the repeat symbol will get you there.
Both the woordpecker and the blue jay are great captures - so clear and bright!
ReplyDeletePretty shots of the woodie and jay. So sorry you are having trouble, I am not seeing this happen at all? Enjoy your week ahead!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, Karen.
ReplyDeleteLove these bird shots!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty...BOTH of 'em.
ReplyDeleteOh you captured a BlueJay with a peanut in its beak - how awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove these pics, Karen! Well done!
Woderful pictures, Karen. I love the Downy's and the Blue Jays are full of fun. I am sorry about the blogger issue you are having ... you are not alone, others have commented on it. I, so far, haven't run into the problem, but would have trouble reading the numbers as well. Hope you don't have to go to far for too long ...

I am very sorry to hear this Karen Blogger is doing all kinds of things I do not like lately. I was actually thinking about Wordpress but then I have to learn everything all over again. Take care OK. HUGs Hugs B
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful photos Karen. So clear. I'm sorry you are having problems with word verification/captcha. It is annoying and a lot of bloggers are using it now. Not me. I hope I don't have to resort to it. I sure don't want to switch to another format. I would stop blogging first I think.
ReplyDeleteThese sure are beautiful, Karen!
ReplyDeleteHope Blogger gets all straightened out real soon.
The photos are so crisp and vibrant. Love your bird shots. So sorry about Blogger. I haven't encountered that problem yet. But I am a bit behind in commenting.
ReplyDeleteHello, Karen♪ I LOVE Downy Woodpecker's simple 'Black and White' very much♬♬♬
ReplyDeleteAlways admire your beautiful pictures(*^_^*)
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Karen your birds look very happy with their meals.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous birds! I really wanted to get a better look at a Blue Jay while I lived in Toronto, but never got the chance. They seemed like surprisingly wily and shy birds to me, which was unexpected as they are famous and well known.
ReplyDeleteI love these birds, and can never have enough of seeing them!
ReplyDeleteI love how bluejays can be lured by peanuts. :)
ReplyDeleteI too have trouble with that. I am glad that Wordpress doesn't use it...michelle
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful close ups. I'm away on holidays and I don't take my good camera on the road with me as I fear leaving it in the camper alone, don't mind leaving the dog but won't leave my camera - too heavy to always carry around but I sure do miss it times like this when I know I can be getting great shots and may be missing them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots Karen! That Blue Jay is very striking!
