Finch On The Feeder(s)

This guy seems to think he is a Baltimore Oriole!
But, he's House Finch (Haemorhous mexicanus), a bird in the finch family Fringillidae.

After sampling the grape jelly, he returns to the more familiar fare.

  9. It's almost time for me to put the seed out again. I read that birds will try something a few times before they continue to eat it. Like we acquire a habit.

  26. Oh so cute! I love the orange/jelly feeder. I've heard that orioles like oranges. (We don't have those birds here...maybe if I put them out we'd get them ;>).. at least it'd be a special treat for the finches (those we have).
