Uhoh! Help! Edit, All Fixed

I fixed it, see post above.

Blogger is ruining my photos!

Look at this!
For some reason all the photos I have uploaded today have some weird softened effect.

In my original photo of this dove, each and every feather has nice detail.

I have visited a couple of blogs that have mentioned that their photos are being automatically enhanced by Google+ I have not signed up with Google+ so I really have no idea what is happening. All my photos are uploaded to Picasa via the "Insert Image" button on my "Create A Post" editor.

I searched through a few of my friends blogs to look for the information on how to turn off this auto enhance feature, but I can't find the information.

I would really appreciate it if someone in the know, could help me fix the settings in Blogger so that my photos appear on my blog the way they are supposed to!

  1. if you don't have a google+ account, i'm not sure how to get to the menu to turn that off. the auto-enhance and auto-awesome crap that google added i unclicked from the google+ settings menu from my account settings.

  2. As you know, I've been having Google problems, too. Nothing I do seems to work for very long and there's an entire new set of problems nearly every day -- still!!!

  3. DON'T sign up with google+ 'cause I don't know how to get out of it without deleting every account! Blogger does mess photos. Some days I simply cannot post them because they lighten them and totally ruin them!(It's different than google+ enhancements. They give you the option to use them but they don't post the enhancements automatically.) I understand your frustration...is it a setting? I wish I could help, but I don't know what to do either.

  4. Just the other day Picasa wanted to do an update. I declined. I don't like that enhanced feature either. It is somewhere in your settings in the Google plus. They kept putting falling snow on my photos.

  5. I guess your problem may be because you got your pc installed the Google+ auto back up, the program automatically takes me to my pictures and automodifica me. of course I do not like at all, I already uninstalled.
    hugs!

  8. Woah. I hadn't seen this before. I did a post the night before last and they were okay. I'll see what happens with my next post. I don't have google+. I read about another blogger having issues with photos too but I forget who it was. Strange.

  9. I did not know that Blogger also auto-enhances my photos, so will need to take a closer look. I gave up on Google+ because it is so arcane. I unlinked my blog and lost all the comments from past posts while I was linked to Google+. I do get auto-backup but set it to show the photos in lower resolution. It is a handy way to index the photos on disk-- I can easily find them from the file names as I always include Julian Date as part of the name. BTW, that is a pretty dove!

  10. Your photos are all so perfect, you should be annoyed with the changes! On the other hand, mine can use any help they're given!

  11. I posted about this very thing recently. Google needs to knock it off. I'm glad to see your problem has been rectified.

  13. good work getting to the bottom of thast and finding a resolution!!

I guess all the big internet companies are trying such subversive little ways to get you entrapped into their domains by making it too hard to get out once (easily) in.

best to decline all unwanted invites for a start and thank goodness for people like you to put the spotlight on their misbehaviour!

    very well done! *VBS*

Please feel free to leave a comment, and hey, why not follow my blog too.
I can't respond to every comment, but I will return the favour and visit your blog. I have turned off word verification, but it randomly shows up, that's a BLOGGER glitch.
