Carolina Wren
The birds seem to love the blue feeding dish in the cedar tree.
Especially when it snows...and it was snowing last week at this time (April 15).
Five days later (April 20), it was warm enough to enjoy the beach on Lake Huron.

ReplyDeleteWow, Karen, I am amazed that a Carolina Wren survived the winter we just had, but I am so happy that it did. I saw two of them on a trail here in Waterloo last year, but so far nothing this year.
ReplyDeletesweet find! i LOVE those little loud-mouth birds! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography Karen, superior.

ReplyDeleteIt is so cute!
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot!
ReplyDeleteThat stripe above it's eye makes it look really special. From Findlay
ReplyDeleteApril 15th and still snowing? My commiserations Karen, but then I'm guessing that you are accustomed to the winters so far north? Interesting about the blue dish. Perhaps the blue shades reinforce the idea to birds that there is water to bathe in or drink? It is a lovely shot though.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the wren, the blue feeder and the shell.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the little bird - it has very beautiful markings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, well done!

ReplyDeleteI do adore the little wrens. We are lucky they love nesting in the little bird houses we have all over the farm.
ReplyDeleteI love wrens too. The little shell heart image is lovely.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww... how sweet. It is funny how birds love particular feeders. Sometimes the doves here just sit in the tray feeders and doze... Michelle
