2. I like the Lomo camera edit I used for this photo. (high contrast photo with vignettes and soft focus) I am really interested in true Lomography, so I added a Lomo camera to *my birthday wish list!
3. Of course I no longer acknowledge *my birthday, so it's actually on my "no it's not my birthday, but gifts are welcome anyway" list.
4. I don't have an iPod. I could never figure out why people wanted to walk around with music playing in their ears everywhere they went. That is, until I put those cute little buds into my ears, and listened to Hubber's pod. It blew me away!
5. So, I have also put an iPod on my "okay, if you insist, you can give me a present for what used to be *my birthday" list!

*the day that used to be celebrated as my birthday, is not until next month

How very lovely.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. I have an ipod, and love it. Especially when it gets noisy at work, it's wonderful to drown out the distracting sounds.
ReplyDeleteLove the tulips. And have resisted an iPod.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, and I confess, I had to Google..Lomography.. a word I hadn't heard of, very different, IPod, no, iPad, no, but on my wish list!!! Will wait to see what your birthday brings. Cheers, Jean.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture. Whatever you did it looks amazing. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe best time to have those buds in your ears is at work when all the gossip is going on....keeps you out of trouble....or at least it keeps me out of trouble. And I get more work done!
ReplyDeleteYes, fresh (and in my case, potted tulips because they were on special for $5) flowers...equals endless camera fun. One pot is exactly the color of yours- beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteI love Picasa's Lomo option, and they are such sweet retro cameras!
ReplyDeleteGreat Random 5 and have a fab Friday :)
Gorgeous shot!

Hope to see you on my blog:)
Lovely flowers and image! Happy Birthday to you. I hope you get the ipod..

Oh the tulips are just screaming for spring already in their beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an iPad either, maybe I should make a list of Wishful Gifts :-)
"No it's not my birthday, but gifts are welcome anyway" list. Oh I love the way you think:)
ReplyDeleteI have never owned an Ipod either I like the sound of nothing in the bush but I love music when I am alone in the house. Beautiful edit and it is very cheery this rainy day. At least it is not snow. Hug B
Tulips are my favorite flower and I never tire of seeing them. Great edit.

ReplyDeleteI use a Lo-Fi filter on many of my photos and love the graininess. Happy Birthday (early?) Karen -- hope you get all of the items on your list. xo
ReplyDeleteI like the effect lomography has on your photo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulips, Karen.
ReplyDeleteI love birthdays. They are a celebration of life and a way to show those we love how much we appreciate them in our lives. I hope you had a great birthday!
No iPods at our house. I will say we are enjoying the free trial of XM radio we have in the car.
Have a super weekend.

I cannot wait for our tulips to bloom. Your photo is gorgeous, but I'm sure it was taken in a different season than now. My son and grandie are March babies, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulip and edit! Happy birthday and hope you get all the things on your list. :)

Ha ha love it about the "non birthday" .
ReplyDeleteI use my hubs gadget phone a lot for blog photos it has a lomo app , which I do use sometime . I will have to check out that link. I am still waiting to buy myself a "good" camera so far it's cell phones and point and shoots.
Pretty flowers, a cheery color combo for sure.
ReplyDeleteI don't have an IPod either although hubby does. We are tech savvy people though and haven't quite figured the darn thing out.
Funny about the non-birthday thing. I love celebrating my birthday.
Well, just in case you forget to remind us next month, Happy Day that Used to Be Your Birthday! Hmmm....maybe I should try an IPOD. I had the same initial reaction as yours.
ReplyDeleteFantastic tulip shot!!!
ReplyDeleteI have an ipod and I love it.
I use my iphone when I walk because it 1) tracks my walking and 2) plays music while I walk.
:-D
Have an awesome weekend!

ReplyDeleteI hope you get your iPod!
ReplyDeleteI love my ipod, take fairly decent photos.
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are truly lovely. I have to admit that I didn't know what lomography photography was. Your "no it's not my birthday, but gifts are welcome anyway" made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteNice picture. Some parts of my job require a lot of rather dull cross checking of information - gentle iPod music saves the day!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Magnifique photo !!
ReplyDeleteTrès bon week-end à toi !
Cath.
Gorgeous photo of the tulips, so colourful. Kind of gives hope that spring may eventually come.
