ReplyDeleteThis brings back memories: In the late 70's I worked for a summer as a lookout in The Malheur National Forest in Oregon. The forest there was coniferous, but I could see for miles from the towers (I worked relief, so I rotated among the towers in the district). It was one of the highlights of my life.
