We have had record breaking temperatures here since Friday.
Daytime highs of 85 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
Just a few weeks ago it was snowing!
The trees and flowers have literally blossomed overnight.
Male Goldfinch in our Maple tree.
Melanistic (means dark pigmentation) Eastern Grey Squirrel (aka black squirrel).
"Dweezle" looks as confused as I am about the weather, and asks,
"Does this mean no more peanuts?"

omg, i ADORE dweezle!!! SO cute!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, YES! I love Dweezle, too!! What a cutie!! And the Goldfinch is beautiful!! Such delightful captures for the day, as always, Karen!! Hope you have a wonderful new week!!
ReplyDeleteKaren it looks like our spring and summer are going to be as wonky as our winter was. Keep cool. Hug B
ReplyDeleteIt seems like the trees got leaves overnight! Love your critter pics, karen!
ReplyDeleteDweezle is a cutie. The weather has been kind of weird lately.. Love the pretty Goldfinch! Have a happy day and new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, it's warmer there than in south Florida! The world is cuckoo.
ReplyDeleteOh Dweezie you know that nice lady is going to give you peanuts no matter what the weather brings!
ReplyDeleteKaren, that weather pattern is almost scary for up there where you are. I mean here in Florida, yeah, it is the norm not to have mild spring temperatures. But not where you are. Strange. But beautiful blooms and birds. As ever.
The goldfinch looks stunningly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent macro shots of nature's treasures!
ReplyDeleteHappy Week to you,
artmusedog and carol
Temperature changes so large and so close together must be hard to cope with. But obviously the birds and flowers - and squirrels - don't mind! The Goldfinch is especially beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove your visitors. And hope that Spring pushes Summer back to where she belongs.
ReplyDeleteDo you find huge temperature swings difficult to cope with? I find that the MonSter loves them...
It's sad to have spring go by so fast. We wait and wait for it and then...it's summer. Oh, well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bird!! We, too, got high temps, but by Wed., we'll be back to the 70s. Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteI just love the yellow bird! so colourful - have a great week :-)
ReplyDeleteOOOOHHHH I squealed out loud - your goldfinch pic is INCREDIBLE - even my husband (who comments on nearly nothing) looked over when I screetched and said "WOW!"
ReplyDeleteDo I have your permission to feature you on my blog? I am in middle of a lot in my life and cannot take pics and share anything at the moment and would love to share that goldfinch pic - it's amazing.
Hugs.
We did the very same thing here, Karen.
ReplyDelete94 today, but supposedly 55 on Wednesday. :-(
That little squirrel is absolutely precious. LOVE his expression!!
The Goldfinch stole my heart. Ours didn't stop by during migration this year.
ReplyDeleteAww adorable squirrel, gorgeous Goldfinch. I saw that it was hot in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteSame here! It was like the world turned green as we watched! Love that first picture of the leaf!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers and bird.
ReplyDeleteIs he holding hard to what is there, or are they his fingers? Stunning blossoms, matching birdies, let that spring weather continue, down here maybe that would be as hot as it gets in summertime, 30C or 86F!!! That would be hot for us.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots Karen Dweezle sure is cute! While it appears you're side of the world has skipped Spring, we in the southern hemisphere seem to have skipped autumn (as regards temperatures), although the glorious autumnal colours around the countryside still bring delight.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Dweezle is adorable. Spring arrived early here, but it's been kind of cold and rainy. I'm still waiting for it to get warmer.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteVisiting from Our World Tuesday.
beautiful images karen, the goldfinch is just perfection!!!
ReplyDeletewe missed spring as well....88 degrees today and i am hiding in the house, with the a/c on!!! stay cool and hydrated!!!!
Love your photos Karen, such bright, clear pictures. Your black squirrel always fascinates me as the only ones I have seen were when we took a trip up north. I remember seeing them running around a botanical garden near Niagara on the Lake in Canada.
ReplyDeletep.s. would love to see photos of your fairy garden some time :)
Hot? Great for you. The Goldfinch and the Black Squirrel are beautiful, I am a lover.
ReplyDeleteWe've had summer temps here too for a few days but today it's back down to a balmy 70.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture of the finch!
The bird picture is so beautiful, but I have to say, that squirrel photo really packs some personality!
ReplyDeleteThe Goldfinch are stunning. Could you send some heat over here please?
ReplyDeleteToday it felt like we were going back to winter!!
ReplyDeleteOh, stopped by via WBW and I never saw a block squirrel before.
ReplyDeleteAll three stunning images.
ReplyDeleteWonderful images. The goldfinch is absolutely gorgeous!

The same happened here and now we have cold weather again...what a roller coaster spring.
ReplyDeleteI think Dweezle is a honey... such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Karen. Cheers! :D)
Lovley post ,Nette
ReplyDeleteYay! Spring has arrived! Your photos are amazing! That male goldfinch knocks the socks off mine! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is the cutest squirrel....beautiful yellow flower too. We were that hot too a few days ago but cooler again today. I hope Spring is back, the heat is too hot
ReplyDeleteWhat a cracking name for the squirrel!
ReplyDeleteI get that look on my face when my boss explains the time lines for some of our work!
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
