The Return

Two birds that are here year round, but not often seen in warmer weather,
are regulars again.
Chickadee

Male House Finch

Many "winter" birds are returning to the feeders.
Red-breasted Nuthatch

Junco

These guys are always here (black squirrel).

Beautiful captures Karen. I haven't put my sunflower feeders up yet as there is still lots of bugs around for the winter birds to eat. I have the nyjer feeder up but there are no finches around lately. I wonder if they've gone south?

Okay...I have to ask...what is the orange/red food in the feeder [the first image]? Maybe I should look for this kind of food...

Gorgeous pics, Karen!

I've had my first chickadee this year - not sure why, but it is so danged cute.

It eats from a thistle seed bag close to the outside of my kitchen window and I watch it a lot.

Your pictures always thrill me, thank you.

All images are wonderful. The squirrel is always on the lookout for food somewhere. I love the reflection in his eye.
