Note Card Party - May 2013

I rarely edit my photos, some cropping and sharpening is usually all I do. I recently started dabbling with some of the many editing buttons in photo editors, and found it's a lot of fun. Although I am truly a purist when it comes to my photos, I like some of the effects.
I found a great meme - VEE'S NOTE CARD PARTY

You search for four photographs from your own blog that would make a nice set of note cards, and post them on your blog once a month. I thought it would be a fun place to share my altered photos.

These are beautiful note cards! I love them all, especially the last one with the beautiful tree! xx

It's fun to play! For someone like myself (not for you), playing is what rescues a photo (sometimes). Thanks for joining right in! It's what brings a smile to my old face when I see that someone new has hopped on board. Great set of notecards and they'd be great both ways. I'm going to resist the urge to name a favorite, though I am partial to red barns.

I have a deep *thing* for barns. I like all sorts of them, the older the better. These are fantastic, and my favorite is the second one. (I'm a purist because I'm too daft to be able to figure out most photo editing.)

Fantastic Karen I would say the purist in you must be very pleased. I am the same way I rarely fiddle with my shots but I love when people do it that know how. You know how obviously they are awesome. B

I love all of these. What is it about barns -- old, new ... there is just something special about them. Lovely shots.

Love these photos, Karen, and your editing makes for an interesting effect. I've always loved barns (and horses) and the picture of the rounded barn with the horse is definitely my favorite. :)

These would make really nice note cards -- thanks so much for sharing! Have a wonderful day!

Your barn notecards are charming and I like the antiqued look you added to them - fits right in with their age.

The barns are so striking. You've done a great job editing the photos. I feel like there's a story behind each barn.

These make excellent note cards. Very clever editing.
I understand what you say about editing. I like to think it is either there or not but there are a few women in this circle that are true artists. Welcome.

A lovely set of note cards Karen.
The clarity in your four original photos is exceptional - what part of the States is this?

Nicely done! The editing really adds to the interest of the images. I usually do not spend a lot of time adjusting for lighting and edit the images on the computer.
