Lampworked Florals - Macro Monday

Click on the pic to enlarge
I was in my bead box again. Each *lampwork glass bead is handmade and measures 1.5cm (1/2 inch)
I think these little beauties will become a bracelet.

*Lampworking is a type of glasswork that uses a gas fueled torch to melt rods and tubes of clear and colored glass. Once in a molten state, the glass is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements.

  2. I was primed and ready to ask what that meant, and you were kind enough to explain the technique.

  3. Hello again Karen and a HUGE yes about photographing outside the "box" of snow ! LOL
These are gorgeous beads and a bracelet would be wonderful .. you have reminded me there are so many unusual craft stores in down town Kingston I really should investigate them .. especially two of the glass stores where they create the glass art there !

  4. these are a lovely assortment of treasures..I took a lampwork class once...it was so much fun...I still have some of the crazy looking beads I made...some were worth stringing into necklaces (just a few)...the others are decorations on my nightstand...hadn't thought to photograph them...a lovely idea:)
