I didn't realize that columbines could look so different. amazing capture of the swallowtail! sad to say- in my neighborhood, I never seen butterflies.
Hi, Karen....The swallowtails are really having a god year this year. We have them everywhere, but I have not photographed them. It was nice seeing the last picture because I have never seen a Granny's Bonnet. It is so pretty. Love the colors. I think it has to be my favorite today. genie
Hi Karen, I love Columbines too. I also have a few varieties in my garden. Not only are they beautiful, but they are also so easy to grow and they spread readily. You can't beat that, right? Your photo of the swallowtail butterfly is stunning. Have a nice week Karen. Christa
So beautiful. I use to have Columbines in my beds but they all died out. Maybe I need to get some more. Loved the pretty double pink one. Also gorgeous shot of the butterfly. I've seen several this summer but none have landed long enough for me to get the camera and snap a photo.

Wow! What a beautiful trio of Columbines. I have masses but they are all self-sown, and the flowers are smaller, still love them though.
