With record setting cold temperatures, (minus 33C with the wind chill), and heaps of snow and ice, I am not getting outside at all. Luckily I have some great critters visit my yard, that I can enjoy and photograph from the windows.
House Sparrow, hoping for spring.
Black Squirrel (Twix), praying for spring.

Darling little animals. I wonder how they stay warm in these horrible conditions -- feathers and fur only do so much!
ReplyDeleteWonderful winter shots of the animals. I know they're ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteOur wind chill factor was not that low, but tomorrow is slated for -20 degrees F. So I'm glad my doctor appointment was today and not Tuesday!

Stunning images Karen. I'll trade you some of your cold and snow for our heat and lack of rain! Hope you keep warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteThese are some great photos. We have had some horrible weather and temps. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOh Karen, these are wonderful pictures of your little visiters. You are lucky you can stay in ... I have a dog ... a very energetic dog which I have to take out several times a day no matter what the temperature. I really have become very used to the cold and we do have fun outside, but being bundled up in a cushy chair in front of a fireplace ... I could go for that :)

Nature is really upset, we have no winter here in the Netherlands.
Now it's 6 degrees above 0.
Your weather made it onto our UK news Karen. Stay indoors and keep doing your photos like that. It will warm up soon I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteI think that woodpeckers approach is the best one!
