A Guest Post By My Granddaughter- Hollow Log

A guest post by my granddaughter.

My granddaughter and I went for a walk together by the river last week. I was searching for geese to shoot with my T2i, and she was a bit bored, so I handed her my little Canon PowerShot, (she was thrilled) I said "take pictures of anything you want". This is a click from her pics. When we got home, she viewed her captures on the computer, and decided this was the "best" one. She edited it in Photoshop herself, (she has watched me so many times). She loved the "texturizer". I think she did a great job!

The photographer...she is 8 years old.

She is saving up for her own camera. I told her I will match every 20 dollars she saves. I now owe her 40 bucks!  She is a determined kid, I expect we will be going camera shopping very soon!

I love that shot! Well done! I love to see what my kids come up with when they have the camera. Although, lately they just seem to like to take blurry pictures of themselves!

It seems evident that photographic talent runs in the family. Ditto editing talents.

Good job...your granddaughter inherits your talent! (Would she like to come teach me how to texturize?) I also love hollow logs by the way -- have taken a zillion pictures of them, but hers is better!

that is absolutely awesome! she does have a great eye already! she could probably run circles around me on the textures, too. :)

Wow!! What a truly exceptional photo! and Beep took it and edited it all by herself!?

What a great job - LOVELY work Beep *VBS*

She certainly does have her Grammas eye and creative talent and will make a wonderful photo-ographer *S*

Great idea to give her that extra incentive to save up for her own camera, put me down for $10 towards it *VBS*

What an awesome post. She is a doll - and isn't it neat you will have another amazing photographer to continue what you have taught her by showing, teaching, and example?

You must be so proud of that sweetie.
