A busy morning in the yard
Stasher Sid can never find where he buried his peanuts

He should follow the example set by Sam Stealer
Can't find your peanuts? Raid the bird's peanut tube!

  6. You have a couple of clowns there Karen! In Oregon our squirrels have trouble finding where they buried stuff and they prefer to rob the birdfeeders! A nd that's without all that snow on the ground. No wonder Stasher can't find anything ;>)

  7. It gets a little tough for the squirrels trying to find food under blankets of snow. I guess having a meal in someone else’s kitchen is forgivable in such a case. :)

  19. Nice pictures - I used to have them around my house in the UK.

It's cooled down, but we still have real problem with fires - well it is summer, but I could do with some snow!!

  27. Karen..I am sorry that we share an illness..too much of it in the world..

Cute squirrels and I saw a program on squirrels and how they are being studied and have been found to have a really good spatial memory which allows them to find a lot of the nuts they bury... Interesting huh?

  28. LOL! Great captures. Squirrels look great against snow. We put red balls in the birch tree over Christmas. The squirrel kept trying to eat it. Then one day he got it loose and carried it off! I was lucky enough to get it on camera wish I had the video though.

  29. LOL..made me smile..thank you.. I saw a program on 'The Nature of Things' about squirrels and they have tagged and followed squirrels and that they have a good spatial memory and can find many of the nuts they hide..but the snow probably throws them off... cute for Nature Notes..Michelle
