Hi Karen... wow, how about Mr Cooper's Hawk - what a magnificent bird! Great to see him up close and study his markings. A really beaut shot there!! Cheers now and best regards, Sue :D)
I, too, had a hawk come to my bird bath one day... probably checking out the 'snacks'...but, maybe it was just too young to know what was happening... so lovely looking...
Beautiful portrait of this beautiful raptor! Yep, we used to get kestrals in our Oregon yard occasionally and sometimes I worried that I was just providing a cafe for hawks. But most of the little guys knew enough to fly -- and it is all part of nature. As you already know. Always lovely to see you and your wonderful photography pop up on my Feedly.
Please feel free to leave a comment, and hey, why not follow my blog too. I can't respond to every comment, but I will return the favour and visit your blog. I have turned off word verification, but it randomly shows up, that's a BLOGGER glitch.
What a photo, he looks so fierce, and those beautiful feathers.
