More Snow

It snowed on Easter Sunday. Not an unusual occurrence here in my part of Canada at this time of year.

I have been somewhat incapacitated for a couple of weeks, after a slip and fall in the yard (during a snowstorm, while filling the bird feeders), I cracked a couple of ribs. Hubbers has kept the feeders filled, and I managed to snap a couple of photos from my window on Sunday.

So sore, I had a fall a few years ago, and the pain, sleeping with a criss-cross of 5 pillows helped, or better, one of those triangle ones. Heal up soon, I hope the pain gets less, they told me it would take a long time to mend!!! ( so true) I do hope the birds appreciated their feed. And, again, lovely captures.

Great, great photos. But with the rib injury, the last thing you need is to go outside and maybe catch a cold (I'm getting over one right now) and then start coughing. Stay snuggled up inside,

How unfair that your good deed of feeding the birds turns into such a disaster for you. Hope you are back to full fitness soon.

Oh Karen -- I'm so sorry about the cracked ribs and sending good thoughts your way. I'm glad your husband is keeping the feeders filled and that you are able to look at your wonderful "nature park" through your window as you convalesce. And thank you for sharing the pictures.

Sounds like a bad fall, Karen. At least you were filling the feeders for our feathered friends, although I am sure that is small consolation to you.

Woodpeckers like yours are a common sight in the UK but I've never seen a black squirrel. All of ours are grey and very dull looking!
