I love wine, and collect wine corks! I'm not sure why.
Oh I know why I drink the wine...not real sure why I keep the corks!

  2. Wine corks are pretty neat. I don't collect them, but always keep a few around-just in case!

  3. What a coincidence...I collect them, too. I have gobs of them and cannot decide how to use them. Cut some in half thinking I would make a cork Christmas wreath, but I did not like the way it was going. Do you have some suggestion of something unusual we might create? The photo turned out so well. The lighting is perfect. genie

  4. I'm with you on drinking the wine. Well, I do live in California with plenty of wineries close by. I never have gotten into the habit of collecting the corks, though.

  15. Just read Stewart's comment - too funny.
I like them too. Something about the texture of them for me.
I like how you put them together - great idea for a macro and well done!

  19. I've never thought of keeping the corks. Trouble is a lot of wine bottles now have screw caps. Hope you find a use for them :))

  20. well here's the thing. I have drawers of corks, plastic bags of corks, boxes of corks. I began collecting them with a purpose - I saw cork curtains in the windows of a local Italian restaurant and decided I was going to do that in my kitchen. I simply need to drill the holes, string them, and get them on the windows. Once friends learned of my intent, they started giving me corks. Lots and lots of corks. If I ever get the project completed I'll take a photo for you! happy week to you Karen.
