A Junco Lands

Landing

Whew...I made it!

Shall I sing for you now?

The Dark-eyed Junco is a medium-sized sparrow with a rounded head, a short, stout bill and a fairly long, conspicuous tail. Juncos vary across the country, but in general they’re dark gray or brown birds brightened up by a pink bill and white outer tail feathers that periodically flash open, particularly in flight.

He's a little beauty! We had juncos in our yard in Oregon (before we sold the house) but now that I think of it, I haven't seen one lately when we're there in the summers. Wonder why. Great pictures.

I think the typical Australian cricket fan may be a little bit absent for a while - team doing badly in India.
